Taking the name Faceless Ox, the Ox refers to one of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac, which all the assassin “teams” allude to. The Faceless reference comes from the fact that the helmets the team wear is practically featureless. All external sensory data is provided by external sensors. This means the helmet and the armour in general has no weak areas. Since the helmet design cannot provide exactly the same vision data as the human eye under certain circumstances they may choose not to wear it.
Unlike a lot of the other Twelve teams who eliminate their assigned targets in a stealthy manner, Faceless Ox can be regarded as a heavy assault strike force. Their purpose is to tackle well defended positions where “normal” assassins would be vulnerable to enemy fire. Because such actions get the attention of law enforcement agencies, this is how CLEA came to learn of the team. Most other aspects regarding technical details though, like a lot of things associated with the Twelve though remain a mystery.
